The barrique – why make an “intelligent” use

The barrique is a small wooden barrel, normally with a capacity between 225 and 228 liters.
It must be used with ingenuity, because if used incorrectly it could compromise the final product. The “intelligent” use of barriques, therefore, is essential to then offer the customer a good wine.
Due attention is particularly concerned with the refinement phase. The barriques, in fact, make a precious contribution to the structure and complexity of the wines, so much so that they embellish and enhance their organoleptic characteristics. However, they are often used incorrectly to eliminate defects, wrong attempts since the conception of this thought. In this way, the wines are homologated, flattening them in what are the common vanilla aromas of the wood.
We use this precious ally to give a plus to the wine, without however distorting it and depriving it of the aromas that make it genuine and qualitative.
